Sweet potato heaps prepared after a succesful rice harvest. This is crop rotation to prevent the exhaustion of nutrients in the soil.

This project is managed and co-ordinated by the women community of Robureh Shebora Chiefdom near Makeni.

The fertile soil almost yields a second harvest two to three weeks after the ‘proper’ harvest as seen in the photo below, taken in January 2004.
