Hope-Sierra Leone

The rice farm at Makari Gbanti ready for harvest in January 2004 covers approximately 60 acres. The local community owns the land. Hope-Sierra Leone helped plan the project, supplied the seeds, provided food for work and pays the local blacksmith to produce the hand tools.
